Roasting coffee to support our community

Copper Tap is passionate about the craft of roasting coffee as well as helping others. Our roasters take special care roasting every single batch. We expect each roast to be second to none as we work alongside Five80 Coffeehouse and ForgoMen Ministries in efforts to support our community. Our profits support the ministry and continue to offer opportunities for those that are living without. We strive to live by our moMo ‘Live Sufficiently, Give Extravagantly’. Next time you are in the area, stop by for a look at the art of roasting coffee, it truly is an extraordinary process.

A coffee shop that exists to tell and show the love of Christ to ALL

Five80 is a coffee house that desires to be a place with AMAZING coffee, an inviting atmosphere, and entirely focused on telling and showing the love of Christ to ALL. There will be suggested prices only and a person is welcome to pay what he/she finds "fair". Five80 works with Forgotten Ministries and Copper Tap Roasting Co. Check them out!

Instilling hope in children and remind them that Christ has not forgotten them

The heart behind the Kids Program is to instill hope in children and remind them that Christ has not forgotten them and there is a purpose for their life. It currently consists of an After-School Program, a Kids Camp, which meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (when school is in session), and a morning Pre-School Program that meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings while school is in session. There are also many summer activities that we do with the kids such as VBS, water activities, swim lessons, and so much more!

A seasonal homeless shelter that is dedicated to providing food, shelter, and safety to those in need

Our hearts at Forgotten Ministries have continually focused on those that live on the streets or live without proper necessities to stay alive. Most people wouldn’t choose to be homeless, but it happens. Mercy House is a seasonal homeless shelter that is dedicated to providing food, shelter, and safety to those in need. When we opened the Mercy House we opened with the intention to offer everything one would need to get back on their feet again, but with dignity and respect. Our space is not like a typical homeless shelter, we have devoted our time and efforts to show our guests that they are worth so much more than just the basic necessities. We are open July and August (the hottest of our summer months) and November- February (our coldest winter months). As a guest, they receive a delicious home-cooked meal, a bible study, opportunity to take a hot shower, and given clean laundered clothes to sleep in. As a way to show our love, we will also wash, dry and fold their clothes for them for the next day. Mercy House couldn’t exist without the help of our devoted and steadfast volunteers. It takes on average 10 volunteers a night to make it possible for our guests to have a warm bed to sleep in and a safe place to stay. Please consider volunteering with this incredible ministry. We know you will leave blessed.

A program for men of the DOC designed to help them to re-enter society

As we have become more aware of the desperate need of housing for men that are released from prison, we believe we have developed a program that could be the answer for a group of individuals looking for a way to re-enter society with people that have their best interest at heart. We have established a preliminary re-entry program that starts while they are still incarcerated. This process gives us the ability to get to know them before they are released, and determine if our program would be the best fit for them as they transition back into society. Below is a broad outline of our expectations while they are still incarcerated and then Aker entering our program: 1. ApplicaFon and Review 2. Assistance with life skill training 3. GED assistance 4. Money management classes 5. Celebrate Recovery classes 6. ID/Social Security Assistance 7. Job skill training 8. communication skills training 9. Resume writing skills 10. Leadership skills Once released, each individual will start Phase 1 (30 days), in our temporary program housing. They will be expected to follow strict guidelines such as curfew, random drug testing, continual training where needed, find a job, and report daily to the dorm manager. Accountability to their mentors will be crucial to each phase of this program. Clients will be charged a minimal amount for rent so that they can save money toward the future deposit on their own house or apartment they will acquire once graduating the program. Once Phase 1 is completed, the client will continue to Phase 2 and 3 (also 30 days each). Each phase will be more lenient and aim to increase the client’s ability to be a productive, self-sufficient citizen. Aker all phases are completed participants will graduate from our program and start their lives well prepared to succeed in society.

Providing healthy meals to those in need in Enid

The mission of Paradise Garden is to produce a wide variety of organic fruits and vegetables in an environment of solace and tranquility. The produce of Paradise Garden is used for many purposes including providing healthy meals at Enid’s emergency shelter; The Mercy House, blessing those in our community with healthy meal options, and teaching neighbors the skills to grow their own food. The garden is also a wonderful opportunity for those looking to serve the Lord with their Jme, talents, and monetary donations. Paradise Garden also has its own honey bee colony. The bees provide the necessary pollination to make the produce flourish. In the future, the local organic honey and beeswax will be yet another product of Paradise Garden.

1 John 3:16-18

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
